The Summer Stadium – Ahead of the Game!
Commerzbank Arena is a relatively old stadium, celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. However, it’s certainly not resting on its laurels! They turned the stadium into a drive-in cinema and hosted public viewings of a rock concert and the Football World Cup (with the final completely sold out). They even broke a World Record, for the highest attendance at a handball! How can they top this in 2015?
A Brave New World
The multimillion euro redevelopment of the RDS Arena will create a world-class arena that will host professional rugby matches, equestrian sports, music concerts and other sporting events. It is hoped that the increased stadium capacity will considerably increase gate revenue as well as allowing the stadium to explore additional commercial revenue streams and may well significantly add to Ireland’s 2023 Rugby World Cup bid.
Fun for Everyone
The FUN Arena covers more than 5000 square metres of a new zone in the PGE Arena, offering a wide variety of game and activities for all ages. How about playing electronic paintball in a maze with ammunition recharge stations and medical stations where you can recharge life points? It is a unique opportunity to see the amber-coloured stadium from a completely different perspective!
