Verteda partner Index Hospitality Systems delivers hospitality innovation for Heineken Music Hall and Ahoy Rotterdam centre

Verteda extends it’s European presence and commercial relationship through strategic   Dutch partner Index Hospitality Systems (Index) , with recent project wins including Amsterdam’s Heineken Music Hall and Ahoy Rotterdam centre. Both venues have invested in Eatec, an inventory and procurement solution,  distributed by Verteda on behalf of Agilysys Inc.

Headquartered in Vught in the Netherlands, Index has a track record as a trusted provider of innovative hospitality solutions. “We want to provide customers in sports, arena and entertainment venues with technology that enables their food and beverage operations to perform at the peak of their potential, with the information and insight they need managed and presented at the right time, in the right ways,” says Arthur Leliveld, MD at Index Hospitality Systems, “Our partnership with Verteda enables us to provide even more to our customers in the Netherlands as they look to optimise performance within their food & beverage operations.”

Operated by AEG, Ahoy Rotterdam is an established convention centre and arena located in the Dutch port city. With three main areas – the Beurs- & Evenementenhallen, Congres- & Vergadercentrum and Sportpaleis, Ahoy hosts countless exhibitions, concerts and sporting events. Index implemented an inventory and procurement system using the Eatec® solution to delivera real-time fully featured Food & Beverage cost control solution. This provides Ahoy with the flexibility to link to finance and accounting systems including SAP and Oracle, and legacy Point of Sale systems. All recipes are managed in Eatec, margins are monitored and losses/returns kept to the absolute minimum level possible. Purchasing advice is created using sophisticatedalgorithms, to automate orders with suppliers, while sales data from POS systems is processed to stock movements so all outlets have the precise stock they need at any given time.

Serving more than 600,000 guests each year, the Heineken Music Hall in southeast Amsterdam is one  of the venues in the Netherlands specifically designed for amplified music, and the only location in the Netherlands to be nominated several times for the Pollstar Awards as best international concert venue. At the venue, the new inventory and procurement solution is linked to the Oracle finance system and Van Duijnen dispense/beverage sales system. Stock and inventory data is processed in near real time to ensure the various bars and outlets are supplied with the right products on time, so guests and fans can always purchase the refreshments they want.

Verteda are the exclusive distributor of Agilysys products such as Eatec within EMEA and have established a network of successful channel partners to support its international growth. The success of Index Hospitality Systems in the Netherlands has recently been mirrored by key partner wins for Infor across France & Germany and HISA in South Africa. Notable international projects of some esteem include The Ritz Hotel, Paris, Compass Group’s Medirest division in Johannesburg The Rilano Hotel, München.

Adrian Burns, Managing Director of Verteda Ltd, said: “We are committed to working with industry leaders across the EMEA region, to extend our reach and to ensure the benefits of Verteda solutions can be experienced by as many clients in the venue, attractions and hospitality sectors as possible. We are delighted with the continued success of Index in The Netherlands, and look forward to working alongside the Index team and our other valued partners on many new and exciting projects in the future.”
