#SBS21 Preview: The Sustainability Agenda

Sustainability is arguably the biggest driver of business change in our sector. At #SBS21 one of Buro Happold’s leading structural engineers Andy Pottinger (centre) will lead our sustainability discussions.

Based in the firm’s Bath offices, Andy now leads Buro Happold’s dedicated Sports and Entertainment Structural Engineering team and draws on an extensive portfolio of projects including Louvre Abu Dhabi and multi-disciplinary leadership on the Etihad Stadium expansion and Bristol Arena.

Joining Andy to explore the sports venue’s sustainability challenges, we are delighted to welcome:

  • Freyja Handy, General Counsel (Europe), ASM Global who will share details of the global venue operator’s ASM ACTS, a newly launched global sustainability program for all its venues; and
  • Steve Wilbrennick, Director – Steven Stadium Construction SLU and former head of BAM Sports construction. Most recently Steve was Project Manager for the Espai Barça mega-project for FC Barcelona.

How do we extend the life of our venues to minimise their impact on the planet? How do we build more sustainably? And how do we change our operational models to ensure we are all playing our part?

Explore your sustainability challenge with these experts – and 450 industry executives – only at #SBS21
